In 2019, what area are you “making space” for?

“Right now, I am making space to hone my skills on professional writing and cooking. I want to be able to successfully run my food blog, and to do so, I need to take time to learn how to cook. I want to be able to transfer my knowledge of the kitchen to other novice cooks who are interested in learning the art of cooking.”

Share your journey and why this is important to you

I am someone who has an immense passion for food and writing. I grew up with the Golden Girls, Food Network, and other like-minded shows. I’ve realized down the line of my college career that creating and writing about food is something I would like to do full time.

Further, I love writing articles that comment on contemporary culture. I feel that my personality shines at its best when I write about food, media, music, art, and culture.

How would you like to inspire others?

I would like to inspire others by taking the time or making space to focus and think about what do you want to do with your life. What are your passions? Can you turn your hobbies into a career? I believe that by taking the time to think about my future will inspire others to think about theirs and hopefully find their dream career.

How do you use LifeSpace to achieve your goals personally and professionally?

I plan on using LifeSpace to help others who are struggling in college. I want to advise other students that college is not so bad; you just have to approach it a certain way. Professionally I want to make LifeSpace part of my portfolio for when I step into the professional world.
