I am very passionate about writing and encouraging others to follow their passions as well. My photo above is one I took not too long ago. “Life is Where the Heart Is.”
In 2019, what area are you “making space” for?
“Over the course of this year, it became ever more clear to me that family isn’t just blood related. Family members are those who drive you to better yourself, those who encourage you when you need help getting up, and those who are there through the good and bad times.
In 2019, I’m Making Space for Family”
Angelina Coronado, Student at Norwich University
I’ve gained and lost family members, and it all remains part of the cycle of a college journey. With a college experience not like most, I reach out to anyone who will listen to tell you just how important keeping my family close to me was.
I go to school out of my home state, and being away from home is very difficult at times. However, the people around me are away from home too! When you have nothing, all you have is each other.

During the Spring semester of 2019, I became close with many people that I may never see again but were like brothers and sisters to me nonetheless.
They mentored, laughed, cried, and worked passionately alongside me. Once they graduated, it was up to my class to carry that weight and pass down the knowledge and experience we learned together. Then came the summertime…
This summer, I was blessed to reconnect with close friends that I haven’t seen in ten years! We all have known each other since the age of three, and have been siblings to each other more than our actual siblings sometimes. We realized the importance of staying in touch and reconnecting after so long. The feeling of a genuine group of people can’t be compared to anything else.
How would you like to inspire others?
To everyone reading, I encourage you all to keep your family close and your memories closer.
Years from now, you’re not going to remember the little things that brought you together. You’re going to remember the amazing time you had by including others in your life. You’re going to remember the reaction that came from the inside jokes, and not always the jokes themselves. You’re going to remember the big picture and the people that were with you.
Take time to say yes to random study groups, adventure breaks, movie nights, and summer days together. Those people, at that moment, are your family.
Besides, when we leave this place for what the world holds, we’ll recall it held our dreams and lived through us.
How do you use LifeSpace to achieve your goals personally and professionally?
Moving forward into the fall semester, I need to reconnect with the family that is my class. These people have been with me since the beginning of our travels, and this year we are seniors! Some of my friends I will, and some of them I won’t see ever again after graduation.
With that harsh reality looming, I remain passionate about the importance of keeping your loved ones close, no matter where they come from. So this year, I would like to use LifeSpace to help me with prioritizing my life, homework, and time. The more things for school I keep on track, the more time with my family that I have.
