Organize, Collaborate and Dominate like a Power Couple

Posted on March 26, 2019October 2, 2019

What’s a “Power Couple?”

Google defines a power couple as “a couple consisting of two people who are each influential or successful in their own right.”

Urban Dictionary says, “A relationship between two people who are equally as cool as each other. They are as individually awesome and fun to be around as they are when they are together.” They go on to say, “If one person is flawed, the other person makes up for their weaknesses in strength.”

Top 5 signs you and your partner are a Power Couple

  1. You both kick ass… obviously, confidence is not a problem for either of you
  2. You each take responsibility for different areas of life, but together, dominate everything you set out to do
  3. You both work hard and play harder
  4. “Let’s meet up in London or Dubai” seems normal to you
  5. You regularly set and crush your goals

Are we still organizing the old way?

We both dominate our own goals and projects using our own systems and processes, but what about our overlapping projects and goals?

When it comes to organizing the things that matter to both of us, one of us usually takes the lead for some projects while the other tackles the others.  This is what makes us a successful power couple.

–> Planning our trip to New Orleans Jazz Fest? I’ll take the lead!

–> Getting our kitchen remodel done? You’re all over that!

But the challenge in organizing power couple projects is that the methods and systems each person use are often different from the others.

  • We use notepads.
  • They use spreadsheets.
  • We sends texts.
  • They send emails.

Everything gets done (we are a power couple) but there’s frustration along the way as the systems collide, making it hard for the other to participate fully without taking over the project completely.

Problem Solved: LifeSpace for Power Couples

LifeSpace provides power couples with a common place to organize, plan and collaborate. Create “Spaces” for every Project, Event, Trip and Hobby, organize everything and share and collaborate with your partner.

–> Planning a trip to New Orleans Jazz Fest?  I’ll create a space for this, add the links to the AirBnB, Flights, Lineup, and Neighborhood info, and I’ll share it with you.

–> Getting the kitchen remodel done?  You create a space for that, linking up the Pinterest design ideas, google sheet budget, links to the vendors and a checklist of to dos to get the project done.

And the best part? If I want to add a bookmark to the remodel or you want to add a great restaurant to the trip, go for it!  We shared our spaces with each other and can fully collaborate on each one.

But do I have to share everything?

No!  If you want to create other spaces for your personal interests, your work or your own hobbies, go for it!

You can create unlimited spaces for yourself, share some with your partner, others with your coworkers and even more with your family and friends.
