In 2019, what area are you “making space” for?
“I’m making space in my life to continue improving my writing skills. I plan to make a career out of writing, so it’s crucial that I keep evolving.
College tends to take away time from my creative writing, and I get bored with essays quickly. I want to set time aside to be creative and let my juices flow.

Share your journey and why this is important to you
I’m an interdisciplinary Studies major combining Music and English. Both subjects require many papers each semester.
Given the workload, it’s hard to find time to write personally. However, I’ve made it a priority to make time to write a few short stories since moving back on campus.
I’ve loved writing since I was in elementary school, but I generally had no free time to write apart from my class assignments until my breaks from school.
Making time to write creatively is awesome to me.

How would you like to inspire others?
I think that if others can see me making space for what’s important to me, even during a busy school year, they’ll feel empowered to make space for what’s important to them too.
I only have a few hours a day to write between my classes, work study, music recitals, and homework. But even with this packed schedule, if I can make space for what’s important, so can you!
How do you use LifeSpace to achieve your goals personally and professionally?
LifeSpace gives me an opportunity to focus on writing outside of the school setting.
I’m excited to have the opportunity to make space for what matters.
